Playerunknown's Battlegrounds New Maps Is Coming: First Details Of The New Desert Map And Ice Map In Pubg

playerunknown's battlegrounds will soon get a desert town and a snowy mountain area as new maps. when exactly, is not yet known.

currently the gameplay in playerunknown's battlegrounds takes place on only one map: on a large island with several villages, farms, smaller cities and forests, the goal is to survive the last of a maximum of 100 players. as a result, the playing field itself becomes steadily smaller by an ever-narrowing circle.

anyone who has been involved since the early access release is likely to find a bit repetitive, despite the fact that there are a lot of different rounds. for this reason, bluehole studio has been working on alternatives for some time.

a total of two more pubg maps are currently under development. the first details on this have now been revealed by the gaming magazine gameinformer. in its june issue, the topic playerunknown's battlegrounds is dealt with in detail. in advance, the editors already talked in a live stream and on twitter about the upcoming map designs.

the first of the two maps is therefore an area located in a desert area. in its center is a city with various districts, as well as a stadium, slums and historical villages outside. in addition there are some desert settlements, sand dunes, destroyed bridges and oases.

the second map has an icy and snowy center, but in the outer areas it also has moderate jungle areas. further details are not yet known.

in addition, the developers are still working on new features by the lead designer brendan greene. explicitly called a kill cam and revised bestlists. but there is not yet a timetable for this.
